(termed the “DEED HOLDERS”). These are the people who will be able to approve the installation of the headstone and inscription along with who’s remains should be placed in the plot. There should be at least two people who have this authority and any one of these people can allow this to happen. This list can be changed later on with the approval of one of these people. The Deed Holder/s control how the plot is used, who is placed in it, and the design of the headstone. Any of the Deed Holders can give this instruction. The Plot can be decorated until the soil settles, after which all decorations will be removed to maintain the cemetery lawn. The selected plot includes specific headstone type, height, and style, which is shown in a diagram when selecting the plot. Temporary adornments must not exceed the dimensions of the specified headstone. If they do, they will be removed. Details submitted on the form will provide the necessary details to purchase a Plot or Niche. Specifically, it indicates how the plot is intended to be used. How long will I own the right to place a person in the plot? The Burial and Cremations Act states that you have up to 60 years to place a person in the plot. Provided you do this, then the plot is the Plot Owner's forever. If after the 60 years have expired and you have not used the plot, we can repurchase the plot and re-sell it. 2. What if I want to not use the plot? Can I sell it? Yes, but only back to us for the original amount paid for the plot. 3. When we purchase the plot, are there any additional charges? The only additional charges made by us are when we open the plot to insert an additional casket or ashes (called the digging fee) OR if a headstone/marker is placed and we have to approve it (termed the Permit Fee). 4. Who is responsible for the headstone or marker on the plot? This is owned by the Plot Owners, who also own the headstone or marker on the plot. If it is damaged, it is the responsibility of the Plot Owners to repair or replace the headstone or marker. Are you intending to use the Plot in the next 1 to 2 months.
